Gator^® has been shaping smooth surfaces and flawless finishes since 1961.

Made in the USA and trusted across North America, Gator^® abrasives started life in response to the growing need for abrasives in the aerospace industry. Products were originally designed to deburr the rough edges of jets and rockets, smoothing them to allow safe travel through the atmosphere.

One small step for sanding…

Recognising the wider appeal for abrasives outside of industrial applications, Gator^® later moved into the retail abrasive market, creating products for everyday sanding projects. At this point, Gator's production process was already well established (and trusted in space!). The result? Retail abrasives that far surpassed consumer expectations.
